Best Driver for installers in my opinion

We all have that one tool we would never leave out shop without. Mine happens to be my Milwaukee M12 FUEL Installation Drill/Driver. This thing is by far the most practical and coolest tool I have ever used.

What are the features?

1. Interchangeable Heads

  • Right Angle Attachment
  • Offset Attachment
  • 3/8″ Metal Chuck Attachment
  • 1/4″ Hex Attachment

2. Compact

The Driver itself is pretty lightweight. The actual width is narrower than a typical drill or impact driver. This means less junk on your hip. In turn, less fumbling around and hitting things. The Compact design offers great maneuverability when operating in confined spaces. Ever need to get that one fastener in a tight spot and your drill or impact just can’t squeeze in… still might happen. We all deal with it at times. However, this tool might limit it for you.

3. Personal Highlights

  • The right-angle attachment – This is a game changer Guys and Gals. The days of using right-angle bit that inserts into your chuck is over. You may be thinking well I use an actual right-angle drill. Well congratulations! Not everyone really needs one. Many of us don’t want to buy one just to use maybe twice a year. Besides, is your right-angle drill have an offset driver, a hex head attachment, and can become a normal hand drill? Highly unlikely.
  • Cons – This thing can tackle most jobs. It is called an Installation driver for a reason. You’re not going to be building a house with this thing. Well… at least not doing heavy duty work. It’s got power don’t get me wrong. It will never replace a impact for those hard to install screws, tapcons, and the like. It’s marketed for installing things. Its called a “Installation Driver” for a reason!
